Again, the weightlifting program has produced great success and we are only beginning the fourth week (of eight)!  Just about everyone has had a PR or multiple PR’s already just by honing their technique with the snatch, clean & jerk and their related movements. Squatting has improved dramatically for just about everyone as well!  It’s time to start thinking about the next cycle that starts the beginning of March.  Those of you who will be staying with it, will have more complexity in your program and work that deals more specifically with technical errors among your lifts!  As you improve, we will start to begin some focus on the full lifts as well as the other positions associated with them, other than the first position.  You can expect the PR’s to keep coming with improved technique in all areas; the snatch, clean & jerk, squatting, pressing, pulling and even conditioning work/ CrossFit WODs as your movement efficiency improves.

What about the 2014 CrossFit Open?  This would be a perfect opportunity to fix (and practice) some technical errors that will undoubtedly be a disadvantage for you in the Open.  You can be sure you will see some form of O-lifting within the competition…
